紐約的巴士服務是由大都會捷運局所營運，旗下車隊有近一千三百部車。巴士服務覆蓋五大區，並伸延至長島，為遠離地鐵的市民提供了另一種運輸服務。紐約的巴士全都是單層，地台特高，比較容易應付冬天的積雪。（上圖的是特快車，車型不同，比較常見的是這種）

另一特別的地方，是巴士大多裝設有協助傷殘人仕上落車用的電動升降台。升降台設在後門，同時為下車用的樓梯，但當需要時則可以變換成起降板，非常有趣。

    You are describing the old bus, The new buses that are deploying everywhere now the elevator is at the front door, and the floor is low.

    @hal9209, yeah, the newer hybrid buses looks pretty nice! Too bad they still not in the majority of the fleet yet. Hope they will change to the newer buses soon!

    有協助傷殘人仕上落車用的電動升降台是好的,
    香港部份的巴士也有類似的(在前門),
    但基本上巴士公司根本不鼓勵傷殘人仕用,
    所以只是『造』給別人看而已!

    @fresh, 香港係處理傷殘人仕方面還有待改進, 巴士有低地台算唔錯架啦!
